Privacy Policy

We believe your data belongs to you. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

Last updated: June 23, 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you create a QuickFact account, we collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and profile photo if you choose to upload one. If you sign in with Google or GitHub OAuth, we receive only the public profile information those providers share — we never ask for your password.

To generate videos for you, our AI systems process the content you submit, including topics, scripts, and any custom materials you upload. Published videos and their metadata (titles, descriptions, hashtags) are stored so you can manage and re-publish them.

Usage data — such as which features you use, rendering times, and error logs — is collected to improve the platform and diagnose issues. This data is anonymized and aggregated wherever possible.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following core purposes:

  • Account management — creating and maintaining your account, processing sign-ins, and communicating about your subscription.
  • Video generation — processing your content through our AI pipeline to produce finished videos.
  • Publishing — publishing videos to the social media platforms you connect, on your behalf and at your direction.
  • Platform improvement — analyzing usage patterns to understand which features are most valuable and where we can improve.
  • Security and compliance — detecting and preventing abuse, enforcing our Terms of Service, and meeting legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing

QuickFact does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We share your data only in these limited circumstances:

  • Social media platforms— when you connect a YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), or Threads account, we share the minimum content required to publish videos on your behalf. Each platform's own privacy policy governs how they handle that data.
  • Service providers — trusted third-party vendors who host our infrastructure, process payments (Stripe), and provide AI capabilities (OpenAI, Google Cloud). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of QuickFact, our users, or the public.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will permanently remove your personal information within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require longer retention (such as tax or fraud-prevention records).

Videos you have published to social media platforms remain on those platforms even after your QuickFact account is deleted, governed by each platform's own policies.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest, access controls, regular security audits, and secure cloud infrastructure. No security measure is 100% impenetrable, but we are committed to maintaining a level of protection appropriate to the risk.

6. Cookies and Tracking

QuickFact uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Authentication — HttpOnly cookies maintain your signed-in session securely in the browser.
  • Preferences — local storage saves your theme and display preferences (dark/light mode, accent color).
  • Analytics — we may use aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to understand how the platform is used. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not function correctly without them.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion — request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data.
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to certain types of processing, such as direct marketing.

To exercise any of these rights, visit your account settings or contact us at support@quickfact.io. We will respond to all verified requests within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

QuickFact is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

QuickFact is operated from Vietnam, but your data may be processed on servers located in the United States and other countries. When we transfer data internationally, we ensure it is protected through Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal mechanisms recognized by applicable data protection laws.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on the platform or sending an email to the address associated with your account. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
